Not sure when this occurs. Need to investigate more.

This error occurs because of a particularity in OSX where processes must exec() if they with to use CoreFoundation functionality.
What actually triggered this error is accessing urllib which on OSX Python invokes an OSX-specific library with calls into Core functions.
